10 April 2008, An illustrated talk by John Batchelor, ‘John Ruskin’s Friendship with Pauline Trevelyan’, The Athenæum, 107 Pall Mall, London SW1. John Batchelor is Emeritus Professor of English Literature and Senior Research Investigator, School of English, Newcastle University. This illustrated talk discussed the rich friendship between Ruskin and Pauline, Lady Trevelyan (1816-1866) of Wallington in Northumberland.
